How to Group Rows in Products View

Grouping rows in the product view allows users to organize and analyze data efficiently by categorizing products based on key attributes such as brand, product type.

Steps to Group Rows

1. Access the Grouping Option

  • In the product view, click on the three-dot menu at the top right of the table.

  • Select "Group rows..." from the dropdown menu.

2. Add a Grouping Factor

  • In the "Group Data" dialog, click "Add new subgroup" to start organizing your products.

  • A list of fields will appear. Choose a field such as Product Type, Brand, Tags, Revenue, or Pricing Strategy.

3. Select a Primary Group

  • Pick a main group to structure your data.

  • For example, selecting "Product Type" will group all items based on their type (e.g., clothing, electronics, accessories).

4. Add Subgroups (Optional)

  • To further refine the grouping, click "Add new subgroup" and select another attribute.

  • Example: If the main group is "Product Type," you can add "Brand" as a subgroup to categorize products by brand within each type.

  • You can add up to four grouping levels.

5. Apply and Save

  • Click "Save" to apply the grouping to the product view.

  • The table will now display products based on the selected groupings, making it easier to analyze and compare data.

Managing Grouped Data

Expanding and Collapsing Groups

  • Click the expand/collapse arrows next to each group to toggle visibility.

  • This helps in viewing summary information at a glance.

Removing or Changing Groups

  • To modify grouping, reopen the "Group rows..." option.

  • Click "Remove all" to clear existing groupings.

  • Add new group criteria and save changes.
